Job Description:
We are seeking a dynamic and engaging College Lecturer to join our team at an esteemed educational institution in Wandsworth, London. The successful candidate will demonstrate a passion for teaching and a commitment to fostering an inclusive and stimulating learning environment for all students.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design, prepare, and deliver high-quality lectures and coursework in your field of expertise that meet the institution's academic standards.
• Develop and update curriculum and course materials to ensure content is current and relevant.
• Evaluate and assess student work, providing constructive feedback and guidance to support academic progression.
• Facilitate classroom discussions to encourage critical thinking and intellectual engagement among students.
• Participate in research activities and contribute to the advancement of your academic field.
• Provide academic advising and support to students, including mentorship and guidance for their professional development.
• Collaborate with colleagues on course development, curriculum revision, and departmental initiatives.
• Stay current with educational methodologies and pedagogical techniques to enhance the learning experience.
• Participate in faculty meetings, serve on academic committees, and engage in the academic community of the college.
• Carry out administrative tasks related to teaching duties, such as record keeping, managing student attendance, and adhering to examination protocols.
Qualifications and Skills:
• A Master’s degree in the subject area to be taught is required; a PhD or equivalent is preferred.
• Proven experience in a teaching capacity at the college or university level.
• Excellent presentation and communication skills.
• The ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute to a team environment.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• A commitment to continued professional development in both subject expertise and teaching practice.
• Familiarity with the use of learning management systems and other educational technologies.
