Job Title: Secondary Teaching Assistant Location: London, Sutton Hours: 8:00am-4:30pm, Full time Pay: Paid to scale Start Date: Monday 1st September We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Secondary Teaching Assistant to join our vibrant educational team in the London, Sutton area. If you are passionate about contributing to the development of young minds and are committed to providing support to our teaching staff, we would love to hear from you. Responsibilities: • Work under the guidance of the teaching staff to support students in the classroom, ensuring a safe and stimulating educational environment. • Provide assistance to individual students or small groups to help them understand and complete their tasks and improve their learning outcomes. • Monitor and encourage student progress, providing feedback to teachers on their performance and needs. • Prepare and organize classroom resources and materials to facilitate daily activities. • Assist with the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for students with special educational needs. • Facilitate the behavioural management of students, promoting positive social interactions and enforcing school policies. • Participate in departmental meetings and teacher planning sessions as required. • Assist with the supervision of students during non-classroom times including arrival, dismissal, and breaks. Requirements: • NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Supporting Teaching & Learning in Schools or equivalent. • Experience working with secondary-aged students. • Strong interpersonal and communication skills. • Committed to supporting students' educational and developmental needs. • Ability to work effectively as part of a team as well as independently. • Enhanced DBS check clearance.
