Are you passionate about supporting children with complex needs to achieve their full potential? We are looking for an empathetic and experienced Complex Needs Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated team in Sutton, London.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide tailored support to children with various complex needs, including physical disabilities, sensory impairments, and learning difficulties.
• Assist with the development and implementation of individual Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).
• Support the class teacher in creating an inclusive, supportive, and safe learning environment.
• Utilize adaptive technologies and customized resources to enhance pupil engagement and participation.
• Facilitate small group and 1:1 sessions to reinforce learning and promote social skills.
• Monitor and report on pupils' progress, adapting approaches to meet their evolving needs.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including therapists, SENCO, and external agencies, to align support strategies.
Qualifications:
• Relevant qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent.
• Prior experience working with children with complex needs.
• Proficient in using assistive technology and communication aids.
• Understanding of safeguarding practices and commitment to child welfare.
