Job Title: English Teacher
Teacher of English (Maternity Cover – 1 Year, Part-Time) Location: Finchley, North London Start Date: 16 March 2026 Contract: Fixed-term (1 year), Monday–Thursday A secondary school in Finchley is seeking to appoint an outstanding Teacher of English to cover maternity leave for one year, commencing 16 March 2026. This is a part-time position working Monday to Thursday. We are looking for an excellent classroom practitioner with strong subject knowledge, proven experience teaching English at secondary level, and a confident, engaging presence in the classroom. The successful candidate will be committed to high standards of teaching and learning, able to inspire students across Key Stages 3 and 4 (and potentially Key Stage 5), and dedicated to supporting pupils to achieve their full potential.
