Job Title: Learning and Care Support Assistant
Learning and Care Support Assistant – Harrow, HA3
Salary: £15 - £18 per hour (PAYE)
Contract Type: Full-Time, 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Axcis Education is recruiting for a dedicated Learning and Care Support Assistant to join a SEND college in Harrow (HA3). This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals with healthcare experience who are eager to make a lasting impact on the lives of students with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).
As a Learning and Care Support Assistant (LCSA), you will play a crucial role in supporting students, ensuring their physical, emotional, and educational needs are met. If you're compassionate, committed to student well-being, and have a background in healthcare, we would love to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide 1:1 or small group support to students with SEND in both classroom and care settings.
• Assist with personal care, including manual handling and peg feeding (training provided).
• Support students with challenging behavior, ensuring a safe and supportive environment.
• Assist with epilepsy care and other specific health needs (training provided).
• Work closely with teaching staff to meet students' individual learning and care requirements.
• Ensure the physical and emotional well-being of students throughout the school day.
• Attend staff meetings and participate in training sessions as required.
Skills and Experience:
• Previous experience in healthcare or care roles is highly desirable.
• Ability to understand and support the unique needs of students with SEND.
• Training in manual handling, peg feeding, challenging behavior, and epilepsy care is required (training will be provided if needed).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patient, empathetic, and enthusiastic about fostering students’ development and well-being.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Flexibility with working hours and schedules.
