The successful candidate will attend the INSET Day on 1st September to ensure a smooth transition into the role and become fully integrated within the school community. The Role As the Nursery Teacher, you will lead a well-supported Nursery class of children aged 3-5 years old. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality EYFS provision, supporting children's learning and development through play-based activities, and maintaining a warm, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment. Working hours are 7:45am – 4:30pm each Monday, allowing time for preparation, record keeping, and classroom organisation. There is no marking required as part of this role. Nursery Environment: Nursery class currently has 26 children, with numbers expected to increase Age range: 3-5 years Teacher supported by 3 support staff within the classroom Inclusive setting with children of varying needs and abilities One child currently has high-level SEN needs and is non-verbal, supported by a dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistant Nappy changing duties form part of the role A Typical Nursery Day: Arrival and settling activities Child-initiated choosing time Carpet sessions and focused teaching Snack time Indoor and outdoor learning opportunities Lunch provision within the Nursery setting Story time and end-of-day reflection The Nursery follows a child-centred approach where play, exploration, language development, and social interaction are at the heart of learning.
