Job Title: SEMH Support
Axcis Education are currently working with a mainstream primary school nr York that are looking for 3 SEND TAs to begin in January until the end of the academic year. The role will centre on supporting pupils with additional needs in small groups or 1:1, affording them the opportunity and support and guidance they need to access the curriculum at their full potential. The ideal candidate will have experience of supporting within a special needs setting and will have experience working with or supporting young people with a range of additional needs such as ASC, PMLD or SLD. The school is a wonderful, supportive environment with excellent resources to cater for pupils who need extra support. The ideal candidates will be able to offer additional activities/abilities in areas such as Music, drama or sport but this is not essential. Although the roles run January to April, for the ideal candidate there are opportunities to work toward a permanent contract as Axcis work in very close partnership with the school and frequently recruit for permanent staff.
