Job Title: SEMH Teaching Assistant
Teaching Assistant – SEMH Support
Location: Barking, Essex | Salary: £85 per day (PAYE)
Contract: Full-Time (Temporary)
We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant to support students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs at a primary school in Barking. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of children, helping them overcome challenges and succeed in their learning and development.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide one-to-one and small group support for students with SEMH needs.
Assist in the development and implementation of behaviour management strategies.
Work closely with teachers to support the delivery of a tailored curriculum.
Promote a positive and supportive learning environment to enhance students' social and emotional well-being.
Support students in building their self-confidence, communication, and social skills.
Help to manage challenging behaviours and promote positive outcomes for all students.
Key Requirements:
Experience working with children, particularly those with SEMH needs, is preferred.
A caring, patient, and proactive approach to supporting students.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
