Job Title: SEND Teaching Assistant
SEND Teaching Assistant – Croydon
Start Date: Immediate
Location: Croydon
Hours: 8:30 AM – 4:00 PM
Pay: £83.40 – £90 per day (PAYE), depending on experience
Axcis Education is excited to announce multiple opportunities for passionate SEND Teaching Assistants at a highly regarded special school in Croydon. These roles are an excellent chance to make a positive impact in the lives of students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). You will be supporting students on both a 1:1 and group basis, with responsibilities tailored to meet the individual needs of students aged 11-16, including those with Autism and complex needs.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide tailored support to students with SEND, both on a 1:1 and small group basis.
• Support students in their academic, social, and emotional development.
• Assist the class teacher in the delivery of lesson plans and activities.
• Help create a safe and inclusive learning environment.
• Work closely with other teaching staff and professionals to monitor progress and provide feedback.
What We’re Looking For:
• Passionate and dedicated individuals who are eager to make a difference in the education of children with SEND.
• Experience supporting students with Autism and/or complex needs is desirable but not essential.
• Both short-term and long-term roles available during term time.
• A positive, proactive approach to supporting students in their learning journey.
