Job Title: Teaching Assistant - SEMH
Early Years Teaching Assistant (SEMH) – Full-Time | Special Needs School | Harrow
A specialist school in Harrow is looking for an experienced Early Years Teaching Assistant to join their team on a full-time basis.
This rewarding role involves supporting Year 2 students with SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) needs and challenging behaviour. Some of the students have been stood down from previous mainstream settings, so the ideal candidate will be confident, calm, and firm in the classroom while maintaining a nurturing approach.
Key Requirements:
Previous experience working in Early Years or Key Stage 1
Experience supporting children with SEMH needs and behavioural challenges
Ideally CACHE Level 2 or 3 certified
Strong classroom presence and excellent behaviour management skills
Role Details:
Location: Harrow
Start Date: End of May
Schedule: Full-time only, Monday to Friday, 8:30am–4:00pm
Part-time applicants will not be considered
